Main Walkthrough

The final trail you'll hit as you head down the long, northeastern road by the sea, the West Grandport Coast is a pleasant end to a lengthy journey. The coast is located northeast of the West Goldshore Coast, and is a must-visit if you want to complete Tressa's storyline in Grandport. We'll begin our explorations at the West Goldshore Coast entrance.

You'll run into the following enemies as you trek along the West Grandport Coast:
  • Sea Birdking I - Weak to Polearm, Axe, Bow, and Lightning. Likes melee attacks. No big deal.
  • Sea Birdking II - Weak to Polearm, Axe, Bow, and Lightning. Also likes melee attacks, but can confuse your characters. Still not a big deal, but more dangerous than its lesser counterpart.
  • Sea Birdking III - Weak to Polearm, Fire, and Lightning. Can poison your party and buff its own. Fairly dangerous, though you can easily zap a big group of Birdkings with Lightning.
  • Black Scissors - Weak to Dagger, Axe, and Wind. Can poison your whole party at once. Worth stunning before they cause too much trouble.
  • Reaper Crab - Weak to Dagger, Axe, and Lightning. Can do a fair amount of damage, and has an above-average number of defensive shields to boot. Focus on stunning these guys before anyone else.
  • Greater Kingfisher - Weak to Polearm, Bow, and Wind. Can debuff your party. Fairly unremarkable.
  • Cetus Maximus - Weak to Polearm, Staff, Lightning, and Dark. Bizarre creature that can sap health from characters and put the whole party to sleep. Takes some work to break, but is worth putting under early in a fight.

You'll enter the area in the northwest. Follow the path east until it splits. Check to the left for a chest containing a Wind Soulstone (L). To the right is a Best-selling Author, who will gloat a bit about his work. He's part of a Side Story. You can Purchase / Steal a Rare Stone from him.

Continue south along the main path until it splits to the east and west. To the west you'll find a chest containing 20,000 leaves, while the east leads leads to a larger intersection and a save point. Go south and onto a dock to find a Thunder Soulstone (L). then go north to find a chest containing a Healing Grape Bunch. If you take a left from the chest you'll get down onto a beach, and just north of you will be the Loch of the Lost King, a Danger Level 50 dungeon.

Head back to the main path and trek east. If you've triggered a specific Side Story in Grandport - this one requires completing both Tressa's and Therion's storylines - you'll find a Brigand here. He has nothing special on him, so don't worry too much if you missed him. Whether he's here or not, the bridge to the east will lead you to Grandport.
