Raising your friendship with Mercy remains a bit tricky between the second and third levels, though as long as you're willing to stop by the Farmhouse in the mornings it's not too difficult. Though Mercy wanders Moonbury a lot she'll always begin her day at the Farmhouse, and can occasionally be found sweeping up inside the store or working outside. When in doubt, hunt Mercy down with your dog. (Which sounds much more violent than it is.)
Once you've maxed out the second level of your friendship with Mercy she'll throw up a notice on Moonbury's Bulletin Boards, requesting that you stop by the Farmhouse to have some dinner with her family. You're invited to stop by from Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 to 18:00. It's not a huge window of time compared to some events, so make sure you set aside a day specifically for triggering the cut scene.
Head over to the Farmhouse. You'll find that Mercy has baked up a nice pie for you and her children to eat. Unfortunately it appears that Laura, the youngest member of the family, is oversaturated on pie. She rushes off, and Mercy decides she needs to make something else for a change. You are enlisted to hunt down ingredients.
(Quick note: This cut scene stalled out for me on one of the text boxes. You can skip it and jump right back into the action. Don't restart your game!)
All Mercy needs are five Snow Berries. You can find Snow Berries on Glaze Iceberg, which you can unlock by repairing the cable car in the north of Meadow Range. Snow Berries grow in four different places:
- Along the path to the north of the cable car
- Among the Orchids to the northeast of the cable car
- South of the North of Glaze Iceberg Fast Travel point
- Near the Yggdrasil plants, to the north of the North of Glaze Iceberg Fast Travel point
There are only four plants to harvest, so unless you already have a few Snow Berries in your pocket you'll need to come back to get the remaining Snow Berry. Take them back to Mercy and she'll cook up a different kind of pie, satisfying Laura. This will boost your relationship with Mercy to the third level, as well as earn you a nice, tasty recipe.
