Main Walkthrough

Prerequisites: Complete Fixing the Cable Car

Reward: Moon Cloves

Unlocks: --

A Floral Request does not unlock until you've completed both First Badge Promotion and Fixing the Cable Car. Both quests are closely linked to one another, and ultimately the important thing is that you get the cable car fixed and gain access to Glaze Iceberg, to the north of Moonbury Town.

Head to Myer's House from Monday to Sunday, 7:00 to 17:00. It's a fairly significant window so you shouldn't have any trouble catching Mariele, the petitioner, at home. Mariele will be out front, trimming her garden, and she'll ask you about Cold Blooms. A quick scan of one of her books will confirm that they've been gone from Moonbury Town for a while, though you may be able to find them on Glaze Iceberg.

Head up to Glaze Iceberg and travel east of the South of Glaze Iceberg Fast Travel point. Once you hit more or less a dead end in the landscape you'll reach a cut scene with Bubble, and the two of you will discover the last of the Cold Blooms. You think you can restore them to life, and collect the Dead Cold Bloom.

Head back into town and look for Lucke. He's usually around the Farmhouse, though your dog will track him down for certain. Lucke will determine that the Cold Bloom has a nutrient deficiency, and that the extreme weather of the iceberg is to blame. He suggests using modified fertilizer to bring the species back to life.

Use your Research Bench to unlock the Cold Bloom Recipe, then get to work mixing the stuff up Liquid Fertilizer with your Cauldron. This template requires nineteen blocks and bars you from using Water and Earth materials, making it a bit tricky to cobble together - and basically impossible if you haven't upgraded your Cauldron at the Hearts and Sparks Shop. Do that before you try to complete the Cold Bloom Recipe.

Here are some suggestions once you have six materials to work with:
  • Start by placing a Rose on the top-right side of the template. Roses are located around the entrance of Glaze Grotto, north of the cable car in Glaze Iceberg.
  • Use a Timer Fruit on the top of the template, then another just beneath the Rose. These are dropped by Blossom Shooters, found throughout Glaze Iceberg.
  • Two Sticky Jellies will fill most of the left side of the template. They are, as ever, dropped by Green Blobs in Meadow Range.
  • Last, use one of the Saps to fill in the final gap. You can get various kinds of Sap by cutting down trees.
Take the Liquid Fertilizer to the spot where you found the Dead Cold Bloom. The Fertilizer will clear the ground up, allowing Cold Blooms to, well, bloom. Slice them all up and take one back to Mariele for your reward.
