One of the greatest methods for quickly building experience in Fortnite, Weekly Bonus Goals make a return in Season 1 of Chapter 5. More difficult than Match Quests and Kickstart missions, Weeklies will force you to play several matches and measure up against other eager opponents. Week 1 doesn't start off too hard, though you still have a bunch of work to do.

Collect Uncommon Weapons

Pick up uncommon (green) weapons. Not much more to it. Note that they must be green - you can't get a better weapon and have it count. Green items also do not count. Weapons only. The same weapon also doesn't count more than once, so you can't just keep dropping and picking up the same weapon. Collect ten uncommon weapons to receive 15K XP.

Eliminate enemy players using weapons with iron sights

This quest requires you to defeat enemies using weapons that have iron sights - which is to say, something long-ranged, that pulls into first-person view with a sight when you go to aim. The Sharpshooter Nemesis AR is an example of a weapon with iron sights. Defeat fifteen enemies with iron sight weapons to receive 15K XP.

Thank the bus driver

Give the bus driver some kudos on your way out the door. How you do this varies from system to system, though if you're using a controller the default method is the down button on the analog controls. Thank the bus driver five times to receive 15K XP. You can only do this once per match.

Visit all named locations

Pay at least a single visit to each of the locations that appear on the map. Doing this will clear the fog surrounding that location on the map, so it's easy to keep track of which you've visited and which still need to be cleared. You need to visit the following locations to receive 15K XP:
  • Classy Courts
  • Fencing Fields
  • Grand Glacier
  • Hazy Hillside
  • Lavish Lair
  • Pleasant Piazza
  • Rebel's Roost
  • Reckless Railways
  • Ritzy Riviera
  • Ruined Reels
  • Snooty Steppes
Gain shields

Apply shields to your character via Shield Potions, large or small; eating Shield Fish; or busting Slurp Barrels. You have plenty of options. This will take a number of matches, as you need to gain 2,000 shields to receive 15K XP.

Complete a Train Heist and Claim the floating island Capture Point

This is a two-part quest that you can complete in any order.
  • First, you need to steal items from the train. Wait for it to pass by you, get on, and head towards the front. There's a glowing storage box up here that you can 'hack'. It takes a while to go off once activated, so you'll need to stay on the train and defend the box from any interlopers. You don't have to collect the items, just open the box. From what I can tell this box replenishes itself as the train goes around the map.
  • Second, you need to get on the floating island and claim its Capture Point (the flag that slowly lowers when you're inside its circle of influence). As with previous seasons the floating island will appear in a spot somewhere on the map, about halfway through the match. Use the map to locate it, then either look for the ziplines near the bottom of the island - or the rift points that appear - to get on top of the island. The island tends to be hotly-contested by other players, so this may take a few tries.
You'll receive 30K XP for completing these two objectives.
