Part of a westbound route that leads deep into Hinoeuma, the Southern Sai Sands is a small, twisting area filled to the brim with ruination. Clearly part of a bustling community at one point, or at least a highway built around one, the area has been reclaimed by the desert. You'll need to pick through the remains of homes and roads to navigate through here.
The Southern Sai Sands connects to the Eastern and Western Sai Sands, both on either side of the route, and exits to Sai itself in the north.

Treasures
- There's a clearing a short walk from the exit to the Eastern Sai Sands. Here you'll find a chest containing an Herb of Light.
- Walk west from the Eastern Sai Sands exit until you see an intersection, then keep going west a short way. The path will veer south and bring you to a chest containing 6,200 leaves.
- Follow the road north towards Sai and you'll see a chest containing an Energizing Pomegranate (M), sitting up a small set of stairs. The chest is sort of framed by an archway behind it.
- A short walk west of the save point is a chest containing an Inspiriting Plum Basket. It's on a small side path beside the main path.
NPCs
- There's a Thin Merchant on the east side of this area. He's through a ruined building to the right of the save point. He's carrying an Inspiriting Plum Basket, an Empowering Bracelet, and an Elemental Robe, and buying these items is much easier than trying to take them. He knows the Soporific Slash Skill, and is pretty strong.
