If you want to establish a relationship with Victor, the oddball insect enthusiast who can apparently see ghosts, you'll need to spend a lot of time near the Church in the north of Moonbury Town. Victor spends the vast majority of his days in the graveyard beside the Church, occasionally dipping into the nearby Monastery where he lives. You'll find him wandering other places in the town as night falls, but your best bet for locating him is always going to be the graveyard.
Once you've maxed out your first level of friendship with Victor a notice will go up on the Bulletin Boards around town, asking Lucke to come meet him. Apparently Victor is in need of some items. The notice invites basically anyone to drop by the Farmhouse in the north of Moonbury from 9:00 to 16:00, Monday to Saturday, to discuss his request.
Head inside the Farmhouse and you'll see Lucke turning down Victor's request, because the Farmhouse doesn't sell... animal hair. Yeah. Victor turns to you for help instead, and fortunately for Victor, you know where to get some hairy materials. Victor wants the following items:
- Five Savage Manes. Savage Manes are dropped by Bonemasks, the charging, bull-like beasts in the outer areas of Meadow Range. They're fairly common, regardless of the direction you explore.
- Five Black Furs. Black Furs are dropped by Blackpaws, the brown-colored bears that also live in the outer areas of Meadow Range. Blackpaws are somewhat uncommon compared to Bonemasks, and one can be found at both ends of Meadow Range, both in the north and the south.
As both of these animals live beyond the landslide that blocks off a big portion of Meadow Range, you'll need to complete Clearing the Landslide before you can get at either.
Deliver your furry bundle of items to Victor. He'll tell you to drop by the Monastery between 19:00 and 23:00 to begin 'the ritual'. Things get a bit creepy, and, uh, your friendship level with Victor goes up by one, allowing you to begin the process again. Once you've maxed out the second level of friendship with Victor you'll unlock his next quest, The Last Farewell.
