Once you've reached the second stage of friendship with Leano you'll need to do it all over again, speaking to her and giving her Moon Cloves, to reach A Beloved Sword. Leano's schedule remains the same, and she'll spend most of her time hanging around the Primerose Sail, occasionally making trips to the Tavern in the evening.
Keep at Leano and once you've maxed out the second stage of friendship you'll find a Bulletin Board notice directing you to the Primerose Sail. Head there and you'll see Ottmar trying to convince Leano to do something with her sword, which has become extremely rusty over the years. Your chemist might have a solution for the gross state of Leano's beloved weapon.
Research A Beloved Sword - Water is the top-right element, Earth is the bottom-left - and get to work crafting some Metal Rust Gel. This template requires filling 16 slots, and can be a little challenging if you haven't acquired a single Cauldron upgrade. You also can't use Earth materials to create the Metal Rust Gel. Here are some suggestions for crafting the Potion:
- A single Sap of any type is needed to fill in the lonely square at the top of the template. Cut down trees for Sap.
- An Orchid will cover the right side of the template. Orchids grow northeast of the South of Glaze Iceberg Fast Travel point.
- An Ominous Tongue will cover the entirety of the bottom of the template. Ominous Tongues drop from defeated Bomber Bees on Glaze Iceberg.
- A Feverfew slots in nicely above the Ominous Tongue and beside the Orchid. Feverfew grows northeast of the Heart of Meadow Range Fast Travel point.
- A Gold Nugget will fill in the remaining space in the top-left corner of the template. Gold Nuggets can be smacked out of the larger rocks on Glaze Iceberg.
Take the Potion to Leano to watch a cut scene and end the quest. This will bring your friendship with her up to the third level, and introduce a minor element of flirting to the equation. Ooo. Continue the befriending process and the next step will be Back to the Sea.
