Main Walkthrough

Your aerial departure from lush Mistralton Town has brought you to an altogether less-hospitable climate, and no wonder - it's just steps away from a volcano. This is Lentimas Town, a dusty little corner of Unova with no gym and no huge connection to the Pokémon League. Don't brush Lentimas Town off immediately, however, as there are things to be found before you press on west to Reversal Mountain, your next destination.

Once you're off the plane, Professor Juniper will explain her reasons for coming here - to stop the plans of Team Plasma, naturally - and asks that you visit Drayden, the gym leader of Opelucid City, while you're in the region. Sounds reasonable enough, though you have some traveling to do before you reach the Dragon-type capital of Unova. Wait for Bianca to wander off to Reversal Mountain, then do some searching of your own:

  • There's a woman in blue standing near Skyla's plane. Speak to her and she'll take you back to Mistralton City.
  • Look north of the runway. In the top-right corner you'll find a hole in the fencing. Go through and up the stairs nearby to find a ledge, upon which sits a Fire Stone. If you picked up the Dropped Item in Nimbasa City you'll also get an Xtransceiver call when you walk through the fence.
  • The first house next to the runway is the home of a Move Tutor, and he wants Blue Shards. He'll exchange them for a ton of really cool moves, among them Superpower, Dragon Pulse, and Dark Pulse. These will all come in handy for the Elite Four, though they're also quite expensive.
  • Next to the Move Tutor's hoe is the Pokémon Center. An old woman inside will give you a Spell Tag. Don't forget to heal here if you're still weak after your battle with Skyla.
  • There are two buildings to the south, and you can enter the home on the left. Inside is a girl who will give you TM57 Charge Beam.
Head east through the houses and you'll be on the outskirts of Reversal Mountain.

North of the cyclists you'll see a cave. Walk through the grass to your left to find a Full Heal.

You now have a choice to make. Will you enter the volcano and have a look around with Bianca? Or will you hold off and inspect that conspicuous route to the south which leads to a weird-looking house? The choice is yours, and the volcano takes you to the main storyline - though you should always be on the lookout for stand-out oddities like Strange House. (Yes, that's what it's actually called.) This walkthrough will take you to Strange House next.

It's worth ending on a bit of levelling wisdom. Because the area outside Reversal Mountain is so narrow and rocky, there's not a lot of grass, and the grass that is here isn't very deep. You should have no trouble reaching rustling grass. You're also guaranteed to run into an Audino every time you get into a rustling grass brawl. If you had trouble beating Skyla back in Mistralton City, this is a good place to beef up your team for the challenges to come.
