The sole passage to the sad town of Orewell, the South Orewell Pass is a rocky road in the far west of Orsterra. It can be reached either from the east, via the South Quarrycrest Pass, or the south, via the North Riverford Traverse. Regardless of your approach you'll need to walk the South Orewell Pass if you wish to complete Alfyn's story.
Befitting the somewhat desolate surroundings, you'll run into some rugged enemies in this area:
- Cliff Birdking I - Weak to Sword, Polearm, Staff, and Lightning. Can debuff and silence your characters, and is generally annoying.
- Cliff Birdking II - Weak to Sword, Polearm, Staff, and Lightning. A bit stronger than the Cliff Birdking I, and can confuse characters instead of silence, but is very easy to stun.
- Cliff Birdking III - Weak to Polearm, Dagger, and Axe. Powerful enemy that can inflict terror and silence on your party. A priority target for breaking.
- Creepy Fledgling - Weak to Sword, Axe, and Lightning. Pretty basic melee unit that can buff itself.
- Giant Eagle - Weak to Polearm. Primarily annoying because it only has one weakness. If you have a Polearm on one character you'll stun these in a single hit.
- Woolly Spider - Weak to Sword, Axe, Staff, and Lightning. Hearty opponent that can put your characters to sleep. A bit less of a menace than it appears.
- Bloody Rhino - Weak to Sword, Axe, Staff, and Ice. Hefty enemy that will buff itself and then assault your party with strong physical attacks. Prioritize stunning and killing these things before they can wreak havoc.
We'll begin our trip through the area from the South Quarrycrest Pass entrance, in the east.
The westbound path will bring you to a bridge. You can walk off of the main path and look to the right to find a chest containing an Olive of Life (M). Head north along the bridge and you'll hit an intersection. Take a right and head down a few ramps to find a Fire Soulstone (M) on a wooden platform.
Taking the left will bring you to another crossroads. Go north, then take a right. You'll head up a hill and find a chest containing an Energizing Pomegranate (L). Go left and you'll find a Mysterious Knight who is part of a Side Story. You can Steal / Purchase a Rune Hatchet from him. Up the hill near him you'll find the Dragonsong Fane, a Danger Level 50 dungeon.
Head back to the intersection in the southeast and go west. You'll be directed south to a save point. If you continue south from here you'll wind up at the exit to the North Riverford Traverse. Go west from the save point and you'll find a chest containing a Healing Grape (M). You'll also find the path to the town of Orewell.
