A rocky area with a western twang to it, the Southern Oresrush Wilds are another early game area. If you choose to play as Partitio to start Octopath Traveler II this will be your starting route into the wider world, and if you choose someone else you'll need to pass through here regardless. Might as well have a look around while you're in the area.
The Southern Oresrush Wilds connects to the town of Oresrush in the north. This is where Partitio begins his story. In the west it connects to the Southern Cropdale Trail, which will ultimately lead you to Agnea's town, and in the south it connects to the Northern Ryu Sands, which lead to Hikari and, after a bit more traveling east, Castti.

Treasure
- There's a chest to the northwest of the save point, just outside Oresrush. The chest contains an Herb of Valor.
- South of the entrance to Oresrush is a side path leading to some rough stairs, on your right. The stairs don't lead anywhere special, but the tunnel-shaped hole in the rock next to the stairs lead to a chest containing 2,000 leaves.
- Running paralell and just west of the stairs leading to Oresrush is a side path. It leads to a chest containing a Nameless Sword. Running up and grabbing this is a good way to save money if you just recruited Hikari.
- North of the exit to the Northern Ryu Sands is an obscured pathway in the rock to your right. Go through it and you'll find a chest containing a Thunder Soulstone on the other side.
