Main Walkthrough

When you first arrive in Castelia City, early on in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, you'll find that the eastern gate out of the city is blocked off. You won't be allowed to pass through here until you've completed the game and become the Champion of Unova. Once you do you'll gain access to Skyarrow Bridge.

The only thing of real note on Skyarrow Bridge is a man on the south end who is utterly parched. He begs you for a Fresh Water, which you can buy for 300 P from a man about halfway across the bridge. Give it to the parched fellow and he will run off to the next bridge. Follow him to Driftveil Drawbridge, Tubeline Bridge, Village Bridge, Marvelous Bridge, the Marine Tube, and then back to Skyarrow Bridge, giving him Fresh Waters at each stop. He'll give you 12 Moomoo Milks for your kindness.

Reach the other end of Skyarrow Bridge and you'll wind up in Pinwheel Forest.

You'll start off in the north of Pinwheel Forest, and a pint-sized trainer will be patrolling to the south. This road leads directly through Pinwheel Forest and out to Nacrene City, where you can continue your journey without exploring the rest of the Forest, if you wish. We're going to check out everything, though, so after wiping out all the trainers we'll head back north.

As you head south you'll see Cheren on your right. He's heard claims that Team Plasma is somewhere in Pinwheel Forest, and he asks for your help in checking the rumors. Agree and he'll team up with you to explore Pinwheel Forest. As with previous team-ups, Cheren will heal all of your Pokémon after each battle.

Head east into the forest. You'll run into a pair of trainers who force you into battle. If you'd rather not face them with Cheren you can take them on one-at-a-time by approaching the Preschooler to the south from the side, rather than walking between them. You can similarly take on other trainer duos in Pinwheel Forest solo, so long as you come at them correctly.

Nursery Aide Rosalyn
  • Chansey, level 61
  • Leavanny, level 61
Reward: 2,440 P

Preschooler Ike
  • Pineco, level 60 (Ike)
  • Ferrothorn, level 60 (Ike)
Reward: 240 P

Patrolling to the left of Rosalyn and Ike is another trainer. A short ways southeast of her you'll find a Max Repel sitting in the grass. You'll also see a conspicuous green lump a little ways to the northeast, which is, similarly, a hidden trainer.

Pokémon Ranger Hillary
  • Sudowoodo, level 62
  • Gloom, level 62
  • Beartic, level 62
Reward: 3,720 P, Sitrus Berry

Pokémon Ranger Dwayne
  • Weepinbell, level 62
  • Luxray, level 62
  • Ursaring, level 62
Reward: 3,720 P, Sitrus Berry

Up and to the right of Dwayne you'll see a big, mossy lump, sitting in the grass. This is a Moss Rock, and it enables the Leafeon evolution for any Eevees in your party. Bring an Eevee to this section of Pinwheel Forest and level it up to trigger the change into a Leafeon.

West of Dwayne the path will narrow, forcing you between trees. Look south of this tree-lined path for an Ultra Ball, then head west through the woods. There's a trainer dead ahead. A little ways further down this path you'll find a hidden Ultra Ball on a bare patch amongst the grass.

Youngster Keita
  • Mankey, level 60
  • Snubbull, level 60
  • Crawdaunt, level 60
Reward: 960 P

To the north is a fallen log bridge. Check the hollowed-out tree trunk beside it for a Max Revive, then carry on north. A restless trainer is patrolling nearby. Continue to follow the path near Ralph - there's nothing to see as you walk - and you'll be forced into a battle with a pair of Veterans.

Pokémon Ranger Ralph
  • Electrike, level 62
  • Rapidash, level 62
  • Farfetch'd, level 62
Reward: 3,720 P, Lum Berry

Veteran Rosaline and Veteran Sinan
  • Crobat, level 64 (Rosaline)
  • Magmortar, level 64 (Rosaline)
  • Leafeon, level 64 (Rosaline)
  • Ludicolo, level 64 (Sinan)
  • Electrivire, level 64 (Sinan)
  • Forretress, level 64 (Sinan)
Reward: 10,240 P

A short trip east of the Veterans you'll find a Net Ball. Here the path splits. Take a right and you'll find a small pond. On the northeast side of the pond you'll find a pair of trainers whom you can challenge together or individually. Up the path near the two trainers you'll find a hidden BalmMushroom. There's another item you can see nearby, but you can't get it from here.

Lass Helia
  • Nidoran (F), level 60
  • Nidoran (M), level 60
  • Nidoqueen, level 60
Reward: 960 P

Youngster Henley
  • Cascoon, level 60
  • Silcoon, level 60
  • Scolipede, level 60
Reward: 960 P

Carry on north from the pond. The Team Plasma presence in Pinwheel Forest will present itself. (Yeah, just an old man.) Cheren will thank you for your help, give you an Up-Grade, and depart. Alas, no more free healing. Once you're running solo again, grab TM86 Grass Knot to the north. It's guarded by a trainer.

Pokémon Ranger Melita
  • Munchlax, level 62
  • Zebstrika, level 62
  • Kricketune, level 62
Reward: 3,720 P, Lum Berry

Continue down the path to the east and you'll wind up back on the main road through Pinwheel Forest. All done? Not quite. Check the fencing along the right side of the road and you'll find a hole. It was previously blocked by some guy, but he's moved on since then, allowing you passage.

Wade into the dark green grass down the next set of stairs. Check the bare patch on the west side of the grass to find a Green Shard. To the east you'll find a trainer.

Youngster Nicholas
  • Phanpy, level 60
  • Doduo, level 60
  • Fearow, level 60
Reward: 960 P

Head south of Nicholas and follow the path along the side of the water dividing this area. You'll find a hidden Rare Candy at the end of the path. Double back towards Nicholas and check down the stairs to the east to find TM22 SolarBeam.

North of Nicholas you'll find a twisty path to a clearing. Check past the trees on the right to find a hidden Bug Gem, and look behind the trees in the northwest for a Sun Stone. In the north of the clearing is a small field which, in Pokémon Black and White, was the home of Virizion. It has since vacated, so you won't find anything here besides a trainer who knows some lore.

Head back to the road. The last thing to note before you leave this section of Pinwheel Forest is a Scientist who wants to see the full Habitat List of the area. There are a bunch more Pokémon to see in the next section, so you can't have a complete Habitat List just yet, but once you do the Scientist will give you five Nest Balls.

Outer Pinwheel Forest Pokémon
  • Audino - Common, Rustling Grass, All Seasons
  • Gurdurr - Common, Tall Grass, All Seasons
  • Palpitoad - Common, Tall Grass, All Seasons
  • Sawk - Uncommon, Tall Grass / Rustling Grass, All Seasons - Black 2 only
  • Seismitoad - Rare, Rustling Grass, All Seasons

  • Toxicroak - Rare, Tall Grass, All Seasons
  • Yanma - Rare, Tall Grass, All Seasons
  • Yanmega - Rare, Rustling Grass, All Seasons
Through the gate in the south of Pinwheel Forest you'll find the area's outer half. It's not nearly as lengthy as the first half, but there are still things to find and grab. You'll also have plenty of trainers to battle, including one guarding the fence to the south and another patrolling the road to the north.

School Kid Millie
  • Oddish, level 60
  • Tangela, level 60
  • Bellossom, level 60
Reward: 1,200 P

School Kid Keston
  • Venonat, level 60
  • Yanma, level 60
  • Venomoth, level 60
Reward: 1,200 P

Go through the fence Millie is guarding. On your immediate right is a thin path that will take you to a hidden Full Heal. Walk south to the nearby train tracks, then swing right to find a Protein along the tracks. Head back and continue south until you see water. There's a trainer to the east and to the west.

Ace Trainer Kelsey
  • Furret, level 63
  • Braviary, level 63
  • Seismitoad, level 63
Reward: 3,780 P

Ace Trainer Kathrine
  • Linoone, level 63
  • Mandibuzz, level 63
  • Toxicroak, level 63
Reward: 3,780 P

To the north of Kelsey you'll find a Nugget, and to the south is an HP Up. Hunt around the southeast corner of the watery pool near Kelsey and you'll find a hidden Max Elixir. Past Kathrine you'll find stairs leading up to a field of rocks with a pair of attentive trainers. Between them is a PP Max, and if you check the trees in the top-right corner of their rocky patrol area you'll find a Hidden Grotto.

Black Belt Kentaro
  • Tyrogue, level 61
  • Scrafty, level 61
  • Makuhita, level 61
Reward: 1,952 P

Battle Girl Lee
  • Tyrogue, level 61
  • Machop, level 61
  • Poliwrath, level 61
Reward: 1,952 P

Go north through the little rock field and use the stairs on your left to descend back to ground level. This path will lead you to a ledge. There's a hidden Fighting Gem sitting on the edge of the ledge. Grab it, then hop back down. You'll be back near the road. You're done with Pinwheel Forest - almost - so wander along the road until you're on the edge of Nacrene City. There's a hidden Ultra Ball down a fenced path on the border between Pinwheel Forest and Nacrene City. Snag it, then head into town for a well-deserved break.
