Author's Note: This section is under heavy construction. There are many pokemon I know I'm missing on these lists, and there are several items I can't get until I reach the end of the game. (My frustration is made plain below.) Any help in assembling accurate counts of pokemon, and where they appear, would be appreciated. Feel free to give your findings in the comments. All I ask is that you also include which version of the game you were playing when you found a particular pokemon. Thanks!

Safari Zone

Located on Route 121, west of Lilycove City, the Safari Zone in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire works a bit differently than in previous games:
  • Entry is free!
  • You no longer use special Poke Balls to catch pokemon. You use your own.
  • There's no longer a time limit.
  • There's also no longer any use for Pokeblocks in capturing pokemon, or luring out rare pokemon.
In short, the Safari Zone is pretty much like any other area in the world. The primary difference between the Safari Zone and other areas is that the pokemon found within are still segmented: what you find in one area you may not find in another. We'll break down what's located in each section below, pokemon and item alike.

Most travel in the Safari Zone relies on using one of the two Bikes. Consequently, you'll either have to make two trips here to get all of the items... or you'll somehow need to have both Bikes at once. You can find out how to get both Bikes in this article, down near the bottom.  Suffice it to say that you won't get both of them until near the end of the game. The items will be broken down into which Bike you need below.

Acro Bike Items

- Head north of the entrance. You'll find bluffs that only the Acro Bike can circumvent. At the top you'll find a railing that leads west, and eventually splits in two directions. Continue west from here to find a path back to the ground, then over to a pond you can Surf. On the other side is a plot of grass, and beyond it a platform that you'll need the Mach Bike to climb. Atop it is TM53, Energy Ball.

- With the Acro Bike, head to the southwestern corner of the Safari Zone. You'll find steps you can hop up using the Bike, as well as a railing heading east. If you hop onto the left set of rails you'll make your way to a cliff edge. Absolite is sparkling away up here.

- Hop down the cliff where you found the Absolite with the Acro Bike, then Surf your way to the southwestern-most corner of the Safari Zone. There's a Max Revive down here. That done, head as far north as you can, until you find a giant crop of tall grass. Look for a bald man in the north of the grass, then search the corner of the Safari Zone to his left. There's a hidden Rare Candy tucked up against the area's boundary.

Mach Bike Items

- Head west from the entrance. There's a dirt ramp you can climb with the Mach Bike. Head directly left from the top of this ramp and you'll find a hidden Protein on the far bottom-left corner of the cliffs.

- Slide down the dirt ramp to the northwest of the first. You'll wind up at a bit of an intersection. Head directly north, along the edge of a pond, to find a Nugget on the other side of a big patch of grass. Surf across the water and you'll find a ramp; to the left of the base of the ramp is a hidden Ultra Ball. At the top of the ramp is a big patch of grass, and south of it is a platform you can only climb with the Acro Bike. Atop it is TM93, Wild Charge. On your way back west, check on the south side of the pond at the bottom of the dirt ramp for TM22, Solar Beam.

- Return to the intersection. There's a ramp on your right and a Big Pearl at the top.
